Self Drive Uganda Limited started business in 2011 but was legally incorporated in 2014 in the Ugandan Company law under Registration number 80010004257224  and licensed by Uganda Tourism Board under registration number : UTB/RTT/T0/001004. 

Self Drive Uganda Started initially as 4×4 Car Rental Company, the company emerged as an early authority in the Independent travelers on Car Hire , being able to offer comprehensive advice and first-hand experience for journeys into East Africa on Self Drive option.

The Head office of Self Drive Uganda Limited is located in Namasuba Kikajjo, Ssemakula Road  with partners offices  in Rwanda, Kenya, DR Congo, and Tanzania.
